Screener, Field Selection

Overview

This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual who is eager to partner with a local entrepreneur of a nationally known brand and join the Chick-fil-A 42nd & Madison family as a Screener for Field Selection. The Screener will serve within Talent Acquisition efforts at Chick-fil-A 42nd and Madison in New York, NY. This role is responsible for ensuring our staff is a competitive advantage by recruiting, screening, and recommending top-tier talent.

The Screener, Field Selection will have the responsibility for building and executing a recruitment strategy to find and recommend talent. The Screener will work closely with our Operations team, Leadership team, and Owner/Operator to deliver on selection goals needed to support the restaurant. The Screener will be responsible for managing interactions with candidates in accordance with employment law and in a manner that fosters honor, dignity, and respect.

The Screener must have excellent communication, relationship building, and presentation abilities. They will also have a strategic mind and sound business judgment with the ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, entrepreneurial culture are essential. Candidates must be comfortable working in a restaurant. Executive presence, professionalism, the ability to work independently and prior recruiting experience will be pivotal as we grow.

This is an in-restaurant position for an individual location. This is not an office, corporate, or multi-unit position.

Responsibilities

  • Review resumes and invite candidates in for interviews.
  • Design, implementation, management, and improvement of recruitment strategy to meet Chick-fil-A 42nd & Madison’s talent needs, including interviewing and recommending staff required to support our operations.
  • Tracking the recruitment activities and outcomes to determine success and areas of opportunity.
  • Leveraging subject matter expertise to interview and assess candidates.
  • Manage the entire candidate experience from application through selection.
  • Manage candidates’ applications in applicant tracking system.
  • Manage existing employee’s files in applicant tracking system.
  • Building and maintaining a strong partnership with operations, leadership, and Owner/Operator.
  • Provide additional administrative support when/where needed.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Experience in full-lifecycle recruiting
  • Knowledge of recruiting and general Human Resources policies and practices
  • Experience in assessing talent and making selection recommendations or decisions
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven track record of networking and connecting to attract candidates and influence leaders
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and independent decision making
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong computer skills, with an ability to utilize applicant tracking systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Work, Ecxcel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating and executing a recruitment strategy including a focus on diversity
  • Experience in recruiting in international markets
  • History of successful networking and identifying key campus relationships to proactively engage top talent
  • Proven track record of utilizing social talent tools such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc. to recruit high potential talent.
